Moving in the port area
An access pass according to the automatic access control system issued by the port authorities is required for moving around in the port area. Such a pass is not required for an authority with the right to take official action in the area. People attempting to enter the port area must, on request, be able to present an identity card and provide a reason for their visit to the port. Moving around in the port area without due cause is prohibited.
Access pass
People working regularly at the port and companies that regularly visit the port of Kaskinen may obtain an access pass from the authority. As a rule, the access pass is personal, but it may also be vehicle-specific in the case of companies heavy equipment. When visiting ships the ship to be visited must have entered the port and the visitor is able to indicate the person he/she is going to meet.
Access control
Recording camera and video surveillance is used in the Kaskinen port area, and guards make regular rounds. The port guards are responsible for the surveillance of the port area, tel. +358 (0) 400 868 783 and Securitas +358 (0) 20 491 3029. The camera surveillance covers all quay areas and important functions in the port area. As a rule, visitors enter the port area through the main gate located beside the port building.
Cargo handling
The area affected by cargo handling for unloading and loading ships should be avoided. Areas between ships being unloaded or loaded and the storage facilities are intended exclusively for stevedoring activities. All unnecessary traffic in these areas is prohibited.
Occupational health and safety
Visible safety clothing with a CE mark must be used when working and moving around in cargo handling and traffic areas in the port area. When moving around in the quay area, try to move in the middle of the passages and do not go near doorways or warehouse corners. The speed limit in the port area is 30 km/h.
